The EDDC Digital Media Team Needs You!

Eastlea Digital Design Club is looking for a Group of Exceptional People aged 13 plus to be part of a New Proactive, Multi-Disciplined, Digital Media Team.

They will be tasked with producing a dynamic online magazine/website featuring content, documentaries and discussions on contemporary issues such as the environment, peace and social justice.

Other topics relating to technology and the creative arts will also feature prominently.

The magazine/website’s mission is to affect a paradigm shift in presenting the views of Young People and the Young at heart living in the uniquely diverse borough of Newham.

As part of the project, members will develop core skills and gain valuable expertise in key areas of digital design and the effective use of digital media.

Frame Work

There are always vital questions that are asked in the beginning. A famous saying that encapsulate this important development requirement:

"A pebble thrown in the sea can become a tsunami on the other side of the world".

With that in mind, seeking clarity on the human capital, technical infrastructure, equipment, software, course content, core skills and community engagement, is an essential part of the process.

The Mission

The core aim of the EDDC (Eastlea Digital Design Club), is to stimulate interest among young people and adults in key sectors of Digital Design.

By working with learners in a social and informal setting we aim to make Digital Design more accessible to a wider range of young people and adults.

Beyond this we aim to contribute to making Eastlea Community School an important hub for promoting ICT & Digital Design awareness and learning in the wider community.

These specific projects will be great opportunities to integrate the many departments and their resources in beneficial team building exercises that help the school achieve its learning outcomes.
